Our weekends get crazy busy these days, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything. This Saturday we stopped downtown for some breakfast before we met Josh out at Lake Beresford for DeLand’s annual “Anything That Floats” boat race. (As an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, Josh helps to organize the event.) Before the final boats had reached shore, the kids and I took off to celebrate my nephew’s first birthday where Grayson lucked out with a trip on a real tractor! (The tractor wasn’t part of the festivities… Grayson and my brother just share a love of big toys.) After a quick stop at Publix (aka “the cookie store”), it was an al fresco dinner, followed by a moonlight swim and an episode of Game of Thrones after the kids went to bed.
All in all, it was a very good day!
